Acrylic Acid Suppliers

Acrylic acid is a clear, colourless liquid with a distinctive pungent odour which is soluble in water and miscible with alcohols and ethers. It is a simple unsaturated monocarboxylic which, consisting of a vinyl group connected to a carboxylic acid terminus, will undergo the reactions of both. It is used in the manufacture of polymers and acrylate esters and as an intermediate for chemical syntheses.

Acrylic acid is a versatile chemical valued for properties such as flexibility, weatherability, adhesion, hardness and resistance to abrasion and oils.

Methoxy Propyl Acetate (Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether Acetate)

Methoxy propyl acetate, also known as propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, is a clear, colourless liquid with a mild ether-like odour. It is only slightly soluble in water but miscible with most common organic solvents. Methoxy propyl acetate is slightly hygroscopic, relatively fast evaporating and has a low viscosity. It enters into reactions which are characteristic of both esters and ethers, displaying their good solvent power.

Methoxy propyl acetate is produced by reacting propylene oxide with methanol using a catalyst.

Methoxy propanol (Propylene glycol methyl ether)

Methoxy propanol, also known as propylene glycol methyl ether, is a clear, colourless liquid with a faint ether-like odour. It is soluble in water and has moderate volatility. Methoxy propanol is a propylene oxide-based glycol ether which is fast evaporating and hydrophilic. It has low surface tension as well as excellent solvency and coupling abilities.

Methoxy propanolis produced by reacting propylene oxide with methanol using a catalyst.

Dipropylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether Suppliers

Dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether (DPM) is a clear, colourless liquid with a faint ether-like odour. It is soluble in water and has moderate volatility.

Dipropylene glycol monomethyl is produced by reacting propylene oxide with methanol using a catalyst. It is a mixture of four structural isomers: 1-(2-methoxypropoxy)propanol-2, 1-(2-methoxy-1-methylethoxy)propanol-1, 2-(2-methoxypropoxy)propanol-1 and 2-(2-methoxy-1-methylethoxy)propanol-1.

Trioctyl Trimellitate

Trioctyl trimellitate (TOTM) is a clear oily liquid with a very slight odour. It is a primary branched monomeric plasticizer for vinyl homopolymer and copolymer resins which has extremely low volatility. It is a speciality plasticizer which offers a number of advantages such as good extraction resistance, good plasticizer and resin compatibility, permanence, excellent performance at both high and low temperatures, offers good electrical resistance properties, resistance to chemical agents and to extraction by soapy water. In addition it is highly resistant to the influence of external influences such as sunlight and therefore does not yellow easily.

TOTM is an ester produced by reacting trimellitic acid with 2-ethyl hexanol. It has a high boiling point, is easy to process and has a long shelf life. It provides the desired changes to physical and mechanical properties without causing changes to the chemical structure of the polymer.

Dioctyl Terephthalate Suppliers

Dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) is the ester of terephthalic acid and 2-ethylhexanol. It is a clear, colourless liquid with a slight odour, which is insoluble in water. Dioctyl terephthalate is a very important phthalate-free plasticizer for PVC, preferred over low-chain and ortho-phthalate plasticizers as it is considered a safer alternative due to its low toxicity.

Dioctyl Phthalate Suppliers

Dioctyl phthalate (DOP) is a clear, colourless liquid which is slightly more dense than water with a slight but characteristic odour. It is miscible with most organic solvents but not soluble in water.

It has several advantages over some other plasticizers in that it is more economical; it provides the desired changes to physical and mechanical properties without causing changes to the chemical structure of the polymer; it jellifies quickly; in lacquer applications it serves to eliminate cracks, increase resistance and provide a smooth surface.

Dioctyl Adipate Suppliers

Dioctyl adipate (DOA) is a clear, almost colourless liquid with a barely noticeable odour. It is miscible with most organic solvents and compatible with other monomeric plasticizers used in PVC but it is not soluble in water. DOA is an ester produced by reacting adipic acid with 2-ethyl hexanol. It has low viscosity, is easy to process and has a long shelf life.

Di Butyl Phthalate

Di Butyl phthalate (DBP) is a colourless, oily liquid which is miscible with most common organic solvents but almost insoluble in water. It is a plasticizer which is used in many plastics and is found in water, air, soil, plants and animals. Dibutyl phthalate is produced by reacting n-butanol with phthalic anhydride. It is compatible with other monomeric plasticizers which are commonly used in PVC, and is frequently used in combination with these as a gelling aid as it is too volatile to use by itself.

Dibutyl phthalate is an ester. Like other esters, it reacts with acids to liberate heat along with alcohols and acids. Dibutyl phthalate does not polymerize.

Di-Isononyl Phthalate Suppliers

Di Isononil Phthalate (DINP) is a clear, colourless liquid with a slight odour. It is miscible with other organic solvents but insoluble in water. It is preferred over other products due to its low toxicity, which makes it suitable for use in a wider range of applications.

It has several advantages in that it provides the desired changes to physical and mechanical properties without causing changes to the chemical structure of the polymer; it extends the life of plastic goods and provides electrical resistance; it allows a lower viscosity PVC paste to be produced and, owing to its lower density, it produces volume advantages. Its excellent resistance to cold and water give it a distinct advantage over alternative products for the housing and construction markets.
